Dystopian Wars - GSD - Day 2

Success! I managed to get what I planned to do yesterday done. Most of the stuff that I wanted to base purple got airbrushed and I learnt a bit more about the airbrush to boot. I still have 7 Destroyers to get done, but they will wait until I have the starter box stuff done.

I also managed to get the first Tiny Flyer done using the scheme that I decided on.

Looks acceptable to me and it is quite quick to paint. I intend to go over the black on the bottom of the base with a brass colour.

With the airbrush, I initially had the paint too thin so it went on rather poorly, for the next set I mixed up I made it a bit thicker and that went on fairly nicely. I hadn't used an undercoat with the models and the paint sorta flowed rather freely. I think next time I will try and undercoat before the airbush, though one of the great things about the airbrush is that the paint is so thin that it doesn't obscure any of the detail unlike some of the spray on undercoats... We shall see.

Today I am hoping to get all the frigates drybrushed up to the final purple and then get the first layer of grey down on them.
